The career firefighters of the NASA Ames Fire Department provide fire suppression services, aircraft rescue fire-fighting (ARFF) services, emergency medical services (EMT-Basic level), hazardous materials response services (HazMat Industrial Technician level), and technical rescue services (confined space rescue, high-angle rescue, and trench rescue levels) to the NASA Ames Research Center/Moffett Field facilities and property.
